28-Aug-2004 -- We arrived to Martinez de la Torre at Veracruz 27/AUG/2004 and depart to the confluence next day, taking the road to the south we found a rustic road pointing to 20ºN 97ºW but it was not the best way to find the confluence, back to the main road we found another rustic road (see picture below) pointing near the confluence.
At 14:00 hours we parked the car and begin the exploration on foot we walked about 2 kilometers among lemon trees and sugar caine plantations (sugar caine leaves produces skin itchy!), GPS was very useful to reach the last meters
The confluence was a tropical area with high humidity and very warm (about 120ºF), also land is a private property that will be transformed to a cow growing/farming so confluence may be very diferent next year
The truth was that bird came first to the confluence (see photo) was fliyng in rounds very near the confluence so probably the merit is for the bird
North of Veracruz is a very interesting zone there are some attractions such Tajin (piramyds) and we found a beauty beach called "costa esmeralda" at N 20.36605 W 096.90903 (wgs84)
Visiting confluences is very fun at practice!

28-Aug-2004 -- Llegamos a Martinez de la Torre Ver. el dia 27 de agosto 2004 y al dia siguiente (28 agosto) fuimos a alcanzar la confluencia, en el primer intento matutino la ruta que tomamos no era la mas adecuada pero en un segundo intento encontramos un camino rustico que nos acerco muchisimo
El GPS nos ayudo muchisimo porque tuvimos que atravesar un plantio de caña que no nos dejaba ver mucho (muy irritante son para la piel las hojas)
Un zopilote estaba ya dando vueltas muy cerca de la confluencia probalemente el merito sea del ave, la zona segun cuentan los dueños de la tierra (porque es propiedad privada y hay que solicitar permiso para entrar) se tranformara mucho porque sera dedicada a la ganaderia y pastoreo
Recomiendo visitar tajin y playa esperalda (de esta ultima la posicion es N 20.36605 W 096.90903) un lugar muy bonito
Visitar una nueva confluencia es muy divertido haganlo!
