14-Apr-2021 -- This is the first out of 5 confluence visits on our drive from Eswatini to Swakopmund in Namibia. On the 5th of December 2020 I flew to Namibia for a bicycle trip. After spending 3 months in South Africa we returned to Namibia.
Normally, we work as digital nomads on our laptops as long as our offices in Switzerland are closed, but that particular week we took off. So we put all our staff in our car and went westwards across the whole continent.
The B3 road from the South African border to Karasburg took us up to a distance of 900 m to the confluence point. From there, the farm track of the Kleinbegin Game Lodge took us up to a distance of 120 m, from where we walked.
The confluence is on barren soil with scattered bushes. At the time of visit, the smaller ones where green leafed, a rare occasion in this arid area. Ground is covered with sand and gravel stones.
After the visit, we drove the remaining 4 km to the Kleinbegin Lodge to spend the night there. But we decided not to stay, because the farm appeared to be a bit run-down. We continued to the village Grünau and spend the night at a beautiful place called White House.
