21-Jul-2009 -- This is the 76^th of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January 2008 at 11N 5E.

We spent the morning at the Angolan Embassy at Oshakati and had another unsuccessful attempt to obtain an Angolan visa behind us. The rest of the day was now to our leisure. We decided to visit the confluence 18S 16E which is not very far away.

We drove the 30 km to Ondangwa outside the town and found a road leading us as close as 2 km to the Confluence. In its vicinity there is the regional government office and from there leads a way as close as 300 m to the Confluence. We parked our vehicle at a small settlement and walked the remaining distance to the Confluence.
