20-Feb-2006 -- Since 2004 I have taken twice the tar road between Koungheul and Kafrine near which this point lies. The first time I did not know about the Degree Confluence Project, the second time it was in the middle of the night.

On 20 February 2006 I could travel leisurely in daylight and so I went there: 3 km north of the tar road, north-east from Mbaye Mbaye at 16:40h. Altitude: 50 m.

My friend's BMW followed a track which took me 700 m near through savannah forest.

There are no agricultural activities in this area. This is grazing area for goats, at least at this time in the dry season.
