20-Jul-2022 -- During our summer holidays in Greece I took the chance to visit two confluence points at the Peloponnese Peninsula. The first one was 37° North 22° East.

With the rented car, my family and me drove from our holiday spot to Kalamata, parked at the Psaron road, near Parko Limenikou, and walked to Navarinou Road, located directly at the mole of the harbour. The meeting point with the boat service from rentapowerboat (Alpha Marine Boat Rentals) had been arranged there. The organisation was good and so we started the boat trip to the confluence point as planned. According to the GPS we had to go around 10 km to the CP. After leaving the protected area of the harbour we had quite a strong wind. The waves were not too high but with a small motor boat and a little speed it became a quite wet trip! After 1h and 5 min we reached the CP around 16:00 but missed the exactly coordinates on the GPS for the picture. We tried it another two times to get all the zeros but didn't got it. Caused by the position of the CP 37N-22E in a large bay we had at all since the last visit in 2006 ;) After taking the other necessary pictures we headed back and reached the harbour safely, after a jump into the deep blue, near the harbour entrance. After a call the friendly employee from rentapowerboat came soon and helped us to lash the boat correct at the mole and did the payment. Later on we had a nice beer at the OlympiCookGrill restaurant.

All the days later one it was not so windy and the visit could have been much more easier. But the time of renting the boat was fixed. It was a new experience for me the use a motor boat to visit a confluence point - but it was fun!
