15-Jul-2014 -- I first visited this confluence point 14 years ago, in May 2000. I decided to revisit it to get some better photographs, and 'all zeros'.

My route to the confluence point was the same as before: From the high point of the Lockwood-San Ardo Road at [35.98707,-121.01543], I took a dirt road along the ridge to [35.99105,-121.01908]. At this point - 1.2 miles from the confluence point, but 1000 feet higher in elevation - a trail runs down to the valley below, almost directly to the confluence point, which lies in densely-wooded vegetation (oak and manzanita).

14 years ago, I rode a mountain bike down the trail, but then had to push it back up the (1000') hill afterwards. This time, I left my mountain bike in the car, and hiked down (and back up) the trail instead. This was a wise move, as - in several places - brush had grown over the trail in several places during the intervening 14 years.

As with my previous visit, once I got to the end of the trail (about 400' from the confluence point), I didn't try hacking through the thick vegetation that lies in front of the point. Instead, I made a short detour eastward to a narrow meadow. This takes you about 120' from the confluence point, which can then be easily reached on foot.
