28-Jan-2007 -- This was not a real attempt to reach the confluence, but in this remote area it might take some time till someone actually tries to get there.
On my way from 1°S 134°E to 1°S 136°E I took the ferry from Manokwari to Biak. In eastern Indonesia this is the best way to get around between the islands.
The ship passed the confluence in a distance of about 24 km. The confluence lies about 2.5 km east of Pulau Numfour.
To get there you can take a smaller boat from either Biak or Manokwari. I was told that there should be daily connections. On Numfour it should be possible to charter a fishing boat to reach the confluence.
