02-Jun-2001 -- I would highly recommend against attempting this confluence, although I will add that, as it had not yet been visited, it was worth the effort. The terrain is covered by thick underbrush, which consists mostly of very painful thorn-bearing plants. With the exception of a small clearing here and there and a few paths, visibility is limited almost as much as movement. Oh, and lest I forget, there were a few cow pastures with their complement of barbed wire.
I took several approaches to the confluence, but as I was out of water and becoming very dehydrated (and had some miles to go to get back), I only managed to get just within 25 meters before being stopped and pulling the camera. (When I finally made it back to a road, I stopped at a gate and took my picture, and long pants wouldn't have helped enough to justify wearing them in the heat and humidity.)
