07-Nov-2004 -- We left Coyhaique in the Chilean Patagonia at 10:30 on Sunday 07-11-04. We drove 58 km trough the "Carretera Austral" and then enter a 4x4 trail for another 10 km. From this point the confluence was "only" 2.5 km south.
Then we began the trekking trough a narrow valley in the "Cordillera Castillo", it was very difficult and we had to walk trough a very deep forest to finally see the valley of the Horquetas river in wich course was the confluence. We walked along the river and get to the confluence point wich was, of course, at the other side, so shoes off and after a short walk we get to the point at about 15 meters west of the river at about 13:30 hrs.
