11-Aug-2001 -- The area is a clear-cut that has not been replanted. There was a clump of trees on a knoll and the confluence appeared to be on the stump of an old pine. It was a short trip from Monroeville, AL. Good road access to within 100 yards of the target and then a short walk through typical August terrain. No rattlesnakes but blackberry & rose bushes to compensate.
