25-Apr-2007 -- As surveyors working for a Libyan oil company, we were on our way to an oilfield and decided to visit this confluence location en-route.
Coming from Ajdābiyā, take the blacktop towards Jālū and drive for about 100 km. When the GPS indicates you are perpendicular to the point, turn left into the desert and drive straight to the point. The point should be no more than 20 km away from the blacktop.
A word of warning: this confluence point is in the middle of sabkha (salt flat) which can be impossible to drive through depending on the amount of rainfall in recent weeks. For this reason, it is recommended to have an experienced off-road driver travelling with your party.
