We have chosen the location 30N 16E because it was the nearest, not visited, confluence point to our office. Our trip was started from Miṣrāta on Friday, 22 February 2008 at 7:00 a.m., and the road led us trough Abū Qurayn towards Waddān. Approximately 300 km from Miṣrāta we had to leave the asphalt road and travel along a big wādiy. We didn’t find a road to go by car directly to the confluence point. The last 9 km were a really hard walk. We finally reached 30N 16E at 3 p.m. The area around the intersection is rocky desert intersected by many deep wādiys. |
