26-Nov-2004 -- The confluence is inside a National Park, close to the Curupá village, in south Maranhão.
The closer we went by car was the point S 10o00'31''/W045o54'29''.
From Curupá it will be necessary a 3 hour ride by horse to reach the point, 19 km far.
Curupá is 80 km far from any alphalt road (Correntes - PI) in a path that can be done only by 4WD trucks, with an average speed of 35 km/h.
