07-Jan-2008 -- Following a days Heli-fishing, we attemped to visit the confluence point the easy way by helicopter.
Located on the edge of an escarpment and in reasonably tight timbered area, a space to land close to the point was difficult to find - we found one...but it was a bit too tight to risk it so instead we hovered directly above the point at approximately 10 metres height... but not actually on the earth....so I guess this is incomplete.
We could have walked for about a kilometer or so up the hill, but given it was 44 degrees and thunderstorms were building, we decided it was better to fly back to base and have a cold beer instead.
We were flying in an R-44 helicopter. Anyone else trying could easilty land in the smaller R-22 very close to the point. Perhaps next time.... Road access with a reasonable hike would be possible, but given the remote location, you would need to be keen.
