12-Oct-2005 -- [This trip was a rather quickly planned expedition, initially with seven unvisited confluence points as targets over a period of nine days. The party consisted of my wife Sandra and myself, and my brother John in a second vehicle. Mostly, the exercise was an excuse to see a bit more of the Pilbara region of Western Australia, and to get away from some unseasonably cold weather in Perth.]
Having successfully completed the visit to 23°S 119°E, we continued on via Karijini Drive and the Hammersley-Mt Bruce road, then north through to Mt Florence station. I had contacted Toby and Robyn earlier to obtain permission to use the station tracks and they had been most helpful with suggestions as to the best way in.
We camped near the station's east boundary and made our way in the next morning. To our surprise, we were able to drive to within 200m of the confluence. A short walk and a few photos later the visit was complete.
We retraced our tracks back to the main road and headed for Tom Price - our score now three out of four of our seven planned confluence visits.
