12-Jan-2021 -- During the long (7+ hour) drive from Roma to Longreach, I made a detour to visit this Degree Confluence Point that had been visited only once before - almost 18 years ago, in April 2003.
At [-26.09081,146.83368] - about 22 km from the point, I turned onto Clara Creek Road - a dirt road that was easily drivable in my rental SUV (but should be drivable by any vehicle, except perhaps just after heavy rain). This road passed just 180m northwest of the point, leading to a very easy hike.
The point lay in grassland, among some very short eucalyptus trees. (An aluminium post - apparently installed sometime after the 2003 visit - marks the point.) Judging from the photos from the first visit, there has been significant vegetation growth here since 2003. (For example, the bottle tree noted by the first visitors is no longer visible from the point.) Another difference since 2003 is that there is now a (barbed wire) fence between the road and the point.
Here is a remote-controlled aerial video of this confluence point.
