10-Apr-2011 -- After Flying into Kiunga located on the Upper Fly river, I traveled by boat downstream for two days, past the D'Albertis and Everill Junctions, finally down into the South Fly river. Unfortunately due to a delay with provisioning we arrived at Tidal Island (approximately ARM135) at 4 in the morning. Because the boat I was on was chartered for a different purpose, we did not have the luxury of anchoring until light to try and get closer to the exact point. This area is known for its crocodiles, which also made the prospect of stamping through a river island at night unappealing. After missing the CP, we continued down the river to Umuda and then on to Port Moresby. Once in Port Moresby, we flew back out.
