24-Jul-2005 -- On Sunday, 24 July, I left Dubayy to Lār, and then by car accompanied by my father and brother-in-law, first went to the southern Iranian city of Bandar-e `Abbās. On the way to Lār, I found 27N 55E to be the nearest confluence point to us. I thought it wouldn't be much far, but it was, so we changed our way through Bandar-e Khamīr, and then at the village of Dezhgān, we went towards north. The road was really good; I found the point in the map near the village of Podol. And the point was supposed to be very close to the main road, according to the GPS map.
But recently they must have changed the road, and we had no access to the old road, so we couldn't go there by car, and I asked a local motorcycle rider to take us to the position. It took me more then 45 minutes to find the point, though I was very close to it, because we had to pass many dry rivers. And no road. When we reached the point, it was really a nice time to relax. I can say it's 1-2 km outside of Podol village. It's 300 meters from the old road, according to the map.
We left the point at 7 p.m., and reached home in Evaz at 00:30 after midnight, as the road was really poor from Podol to Mehrān, and moreover, after Bastak we faced a summer thunderstorm, it was nice and scary, as the thunder was really great.
Hopefully, next time when I go to Iran, I find some more points. By then, see u later, guys.
