In the Tor`eh-ye Khūrān (Khūrān Strait), approximately midways between mainland Iran and the large island Jazīreh-ye Qešm. Water depth is only about 8 m, as the Confluence is lying close to a shoal called Karāneh-ye Bākhtarī-ye Bostānū (Bostānū Western Bank). To the North is the entrance to a large and newly constructed harbour. The tip of the harbour's southern mole is the closest point of land to the Confluence, 4.2 km away. |
