14-Oct-2018 -- I arrived at this point just before sunset on a Sunday evening. (I deliberately chose a Sunday evening, to lessen the chance of disturbing anyone working nearby.) The point looks about the same as it did when I visited it 11 years ago. It lies on an old road cut, with cactus on each side (including an impressive-looking Saguaro cactus just to the west). West Pima Mine Road runs just 0.1 miles north of the point. The view to the south is blocked by the bank of a large reclamation pond. (However, from my drone - 120 m above the point - I was able to get a good view over this reclamation pond, towards the large copper mine itself.)
Here is a remote-controlled aerial video of this confluence point.
