#1: Looking east towards Lopez Point. The confluence is 21 NM @ 266 degrees true from Lopez Point. The highest mountain on the horizon, is Cone Peak, at 5,155 ft.

21-May-2010 -- I am the captain of an ocean going tugboat. I tow barges up and down the waters of the US west coast and Alaska. On a voyage from San Francisco, CA to Los Angeles, CA, I was able to capture a successful visit.

About 5 miles north of the confluence while on a southeasterly heading, I intersected the 122 Meridian. At this point I turned due south, following the 122 line on a course of 180 degrees true. I slowed the vessel down from her typical 10 knots to approximately 6 knots. At 1649 Hrs local time, I passed over the confluence. The photos record the rest.
