10-Feb-2002 -- I parked about 1/3 of a mile from this confluence.
Normally, that would be an easy walk, but TN terrain made
this one interesting. I had two 200+ foot climbs (up and down)
in that walk. While I was maximizing the zero count, I
heard a noise in the distance. It was a white-tailed deer.
I tried to get a foto of him, but it's sort of like the Loch Ness
pictures. Even if you know there's a deer in the pic, it's hard to see.
This is a beautiful area, squarely in the middle of the woods.
You can drive on three different roads and be within a mile of
of it, but nearby water makes the approach less than obvious.
(In case others are intersted, come in from 96.)
