29-Nov-2015 -- This is the last out of 3 reports reaching confluence points during a bicycle trip through Central Greece. The story continues from 38°N 23°E.

In the morning of confluence day, I started cycling before dawn at 6:30 AM from my hotel in Diakoptó, which is located on the north coast of the Peleponnes in ca. 30 km distance from this confluence point.

I had to gain more than 1000 m in height to reach the village Kalávryta. The mountains around are steep and gave me the impression of being in the Alpine Mountains. At a remaining distance of 2 km I entered the village Koúteli. Shortly after, I got a flat tyre. When I had packed out my toolkit, I got a nasty surprise: both of my glue tubes for patches had been squeezed and dried out totally. I guess they got squeezed out during the flight. But I was prepared having a spare tube with me. Unfortunately the valve was not fitting my pump! What to do now? I decided to put on the patch without glue. This was the right decision, because I could continue my trip (pumping up my tyre every 2 hours).

The confluence is located in an oak forest on hilly terrain. It is a nice location with far views to the west.

At 5 PM I reached the city of Patras, from where I took an express bus back to Athens followed by a flight to Zurich the next early morning. At 10 AM on Monday, I was back to office.
