24-Oct-2006 -- We started on Monday, 23 October in Ankara driving to Kayseri. Staying one night there in a first class Hotel, we drove next day from Kayseri eastwards to Pınarbaşı and Gürün. The way was leading through wide grasslands with almost no trees, passing altitudes of 1800 to 1900 meters. In the South we saw some snow-covered mountains.
In Gürün we turned north and followed the road to Sivas for about 56 km. There is a junction leading eastwards to the small village of Kuşkayası, 19 km away from the main road. In Kuşkayası right behind the mosque we turned left, leaving the asphalt street and following a gravel road 12 km to a place named Çiftlikören. The way was winding trough harvested grain fields, flocks of sheep grazing in the open land.
In Çiftlikören at the small TV-transmitter station, we turned right following the gravel road. After a few km there was a junction, the road turning to the right was leading directly to the Confluence which is 150 m beside the road in a field.
