09-Oct-2022 -- This is the 3rd out of seven reports reaching or attempting confluence points during a one-week bicycle trip in Southern Italy. The story starts from 42°N 15°E and continues from 41°N 16°E.

Even though I had a flat tyre on my way, I was able to reach a second confluence this day. Located just outside the town of Rutigliano on a never completed business compound this confluence is an interesting object for observation. It has already been well documented over the years. Since the last visit 3 years ago, the amount of garbage has increased – which is unfortunately typical in this part of Italy.

I was able to conveniently ride my bicycle up to a distance of 15 m on the nearby main road. Right next to the compound of the confluence is a vineyard with overripe berries at the time. But the exact spot is in this garbage-filled compound. A fridge is helpful to enter the compound. There is a “new” truck parked nearby. Let us see, how many years it will be parked there.

After the visit, I continued my bicycle trip southwards and spent the night in nearby Noci.
