This was a spur of the moment confluence as part of a trip to Great Falls, MT. While taking advantage of a free wireless connection at a hotel in Idaho Falls the night before, I noticed that 44-112 had not been visited since 2000 and would be just a short detour off I-15. What a better reason to update!

We got off at the Hamer, ID exit and made our way to E 2600 N (also known as Taylor Road) where we continued east until the pavement turned to dirt at a T intersection with mobile homes on the northwest corner. We followed unmarked but well maintained dirt roads around the irrigated fields. We proceeded north for 0.5 miles, then east for 1.5 miles, then south for 0.5 miles, then directly east .85 miles and parked directly over the confluence.

Picture 1 looks west towards I-15 and the Camas National Wildlife Refuge . Picture 2 looks north onto a circular irrigated field. Picture #3 looks east towards the Sand Mountain Wilderness Study Area . Picture 4 looks south. Picture 5 shows a fairly stable differential GPS location. Picture 6 shows our Tahoe with the camera focusing on a blade of grass. Picture 7 is a row of tanks just west of the confluence.

We continued back to I-15 and rejoined I-15 at Dubois by following Old Hwy 91. Total time off I-15 was 1:07 and total distance was 43.75 miles getting off at Hamer and back on at Dubois.
