29-Mar-2019 -- Hanneke and Luuk flew to confluence 54N, 129W by helicopter, in a very remote part in Western BC, expertly piloted by Dean Scarrow of Quantum Helicopters in Terrace, BC. This was a gorgeous day, blue skies, and still lots of spring snow on the ground. We sank thigh deep into the snow to get to the precise confluence. This visit could be possible with a multi-day trek/hike by boating from Kitimat to Jesse Falls, portaging kayaks/supplies to Jesse Lake, paddle across, and then a very stiff hike to the almost 3000' plateau. Luckily my colleagues gave us a fantastic farewell gift to do this the easy way. What a great day - thanks to everyone!
