14-Feb-2005 -- A 3 hour drive later (from 49N,3E) via yet more nerve wracking Paris suburbs I arrived at the next confluence.
It's just a few metres to the right of this Pic in a little hollow. There is easy parking at a school of astronomy just opposite the track into the forest. There were several "Inderdit" and "Danger" signs but if my French is still up to it I think they were warning of fallen trees rather than wild boars!
The path leads right to the confluence but it was rather muddy as Pic 1 shows. Once into the dip, I took the views to the N, E, S and W and the GPS evidence.
It was then time to return the car back to the Gare du Nord and this was done via the Autoroute which was a lot less stressful. The entire day's journey is shown on the map.
