03-May-2005 -- Maurice Laparlière, a reporter from Radio Netherlands (the Dutch world broadcaster) contacted me by e-mail and asked if I was interested to be interviewed about degree confluence hunting.
He had found my degree confluence visit 21° north 95° east in Myanmar (Burma) on the Internet and would like to make a report about searching for a degree confluence somewhere in The Netherlands. We made an appointment and went with a tape recorder on the 3rd of May 2005 to the very wet meadows between the towns of Velp and Rheden near the city of Arnhem after a thunderstorm just passed over the spot.
The landowner was happy enough to give us permission to visit his land and we found the degree confluence quick and easy. The interview was broadcasted worldwide on the 24th of May, 2005.
