#1: Entrance gate for no.18 with garage in view

(visited by Mike Condy, Craig Condy, Bryce Clarence and Travis Lailvaux)

09-Aug-2005 -- Having recently returned from Botswana where I visited my first degree confluence 20S 26E, I was excited to introduce my son to this new pastime. 26S 28E is situated less than 10 km from where I live.

On arrival at the housing complex called San Raphael, I asked to speak to the chairman of the body corporate. His name is Bryce Clarence and he lives at no. 16, opposite no. 18 where the Confluence is situated. We knew the Confluence is situated inside the garage, so without an external aerial, Bryce kindly helped us with a ladder, and my son Craig did the hunting on the roof of the garage.

The actual spot was located with great excitement from Craig and much to the bemusement of the tenant of no. 18 who happens to be a Japanese man who does not speak English! The picture of the GPS showing the coordinates actually belongs to Bryce, who was very enthusiastic about helping us with this visit.
