01-Jan-2000 -- This is a rather boring confluence,
located in a flat, featureless desert. More specifically, it's in the
"Pahrump Valley" that straddles the Nevada-California state line. (The
confluence itself is just inside California.)
The easiest way to reach the confluence is to take the "Old Spanish
Trail" highway from Nevada highway 160 (southwest of Pahrump), towards
Tecopa. About 8 miles after it crosses into California, this road takes
a left turn (heading southward). At this corner, there's a narrow
gravel road that runs northward. This road runs within 0.5 miles of the
confluence, which is reached with an easy hike across flat, thinly
vegetated desert.
