06-Sep-2005 -- OTRA CAPTURA AL PASO

Continuando con mis periódicos viajes Bs. As – Santa Rosa, está vez ya salí con la idea de pasar por General Alvear para tratar de capturar a la pasada la 36-60 y continuar con mi nuevo objetivo de cruzar el país por el paralelo 36, visitando todas las confluencias sobre él.

En las afueras de la ciudad de Alvear, cuando estaba casi sobre el meridiano 60 apareció un terraplén con rumbo norte a unos 3 km de la confluencia, con huellas de vehículos. Lo encaré y comencé a acercarme a la confluencia; el camino era fácil, con algunas charcos de barro por lluvia de días pasados, pero sólo para jugar.

Llegué a estar sobre el paralelo 36 a 133 metros del destino, pero una zanja llena de agua no me permitía ni pasar de a pie. Seguí adelante unos 300 metros hasta un camino vecinal próximo al arroyo Las Flores, donde el ancho del canal me permitió pasar y acercarme caminando a la confluencia, a la que llegué sin problemas.

Tomé las fotos habituales, verificando que casi nada había cambiado desde su descubrimiento y luego me fui a conocer el centro de General Alvear, típica ciudad del interior, muy limpia y prolija. Allí estacioné en la plaza para fotografiar la junto con la iglesia que describieron muy bien mis antecesores en su relato.

Seguí mi camino a La Pampa pensando en cual sería la próxima.

06-Sep-2005 -- ANOTHER FAST CAPTURE

In other of my periodic trips Buenos Aires – Santa Rosa, this time I departed with the idea of ”in passing capture” of the confluence 36-60 near General Alvear, in order to achieve my new target of crossing my country by the parallel 36 visiting all confluences above it.

In the suburb of the Alvear´s city, practically on the meridian 60, I found an embankment to the north at 3 kilometres of the confluence with signals of wheels of vehicles. I drove above it and I began to approach to the confluence; the path was easy, with some parts with mud, product of last rains, but only for playing vith the car.

I arrived to the parallel 36 at 133 meters of the confluence but a wide trench with water didn’t allow to pass for achieving my target.

I continued 300 meters to the north until a local road where the wide of the trench would allow me to pass. Then walking , I reached easily the confluence without problems.

I took the habitual photographs, verifying that nothing changed from its “discovery” and then I went to know the General Alvear´s downtown, typical city of our interior country, very clean and peaceful. There, I parked my car in the main square for taking photograph of it and the church that my predecessors showed in their very good narrative.

I continued my route to La Pampa, thinking what would be the next.
