Coming from Lang Suan I followed the R4006 and at some point (9°N 58' 37.84" 99°E 1' 11.04") decided to enter a dirt road. The roads are quite ok - I'd think you could go by car too.
As the GPS indicated the confluence point as close as 300 meters I parked the bike. Conveniently, there's also a path going into the direction of the confluence. (see Picture #7)
I had to poke around a bit, as there is a small stream covered with thick vegetation blocking the way, but finally I found a path to cross it.
The confluence is in the middle of a big plantation area - not surprisingly, as agriculture is the biggest economic sector in Chumpon province.
The battery of the Palm was getting very low, dark clouds covered the sky and thunder was rolling from the Phato mountains. So I hurried to get the pics done and headed back to the bike. As I reached R4006 it started to rain. The rainy season is not quite over in this province.
I am sorry for the bad picture quality. My Canon camera fell victim to the dreaded 'memory card error'. The 'aim and shoot' replacement obviously doesn't perform well in dark situations.
