30-Oct-2005 -- Habíamos decidido buscar la confluencia el domingo, con toda la familia, lamentablemente amaneció lloviendo copiosamente, igualmente nos fuimos a la aventura de llegar lo mas cerca posible, ya que la zona es agrícola y con caminos terrados, lo cual dificultaba notoriamente la búsqueda.

Luego de unos 35 Km. por ruta, el GPS marcaba 8 Km. para la confluencia, entramos en caminos de barro, afortunadamente nuestro vehículo es 4x4, y aún así la travesía se tornaba bastante dificultosa.

Entre resbalones y patinadas llegamos hasta un trigal, en el que se notaba la reciente cosecha, entramos en él con el vehículo hasta una pequeña arboleda. Allí quedaría nuestra camioneta, el GPS marcaba 1500 mts en dirección NW, la lluvia acobardó a la mayoría de los integrantes de la expedición, Facundo (13 años), Francisco “Kilo” (12 años) y yo, Hugo (papá de Facundo), decidimos emprender la búsqueda.

Luego de atravesar unos 1.000 mts a campo traviesa, nos encontramos con un pequeño arroyo, lo cruzamos (afortunadamente había un puente cerca) y llegamos a 100 mts de la meta. Estaba dentro de un predio cercado por un alambrado, llamamos en la que parecía ser la casa de los dueños, pero solo nos atendieron dos perros, que resultaron ser de lo mas amistosos.

No quisimos entrar sin permiso, y ya nos volvíamos, sintiendo el sabor del fracaso, habiendo estado tan cerca… cuando nos dimos cuenta que se podía acceder a lugar pasando por un campo aledaño, que se encontraba desierto. Así lo hicimos, y luego de dar un pequeño rodeo LLEGAMOS, es un pequeño bosque que dificultaba la recepción satelital de nuestro GPS, pero buscando un claro, pudimos marcar el punto con algunos segundos de diferencia.

Fotos de rigor, que por el estado del día y el lugar tan cerrado, no salieron como esperábamos, pero nos volvimos embarrados hasta la cabeza, mojados, pero contentos de haber logrado llegar, y ya planeando la búsqueda de la próxima confluencia.

30-Oct-2005 -- We had decided to find the confluence that sunday morning with my family but the day dawned with a heavy rain, anyway we went to look for the place. After 22 miles by route the GPS signed 5 miles from the confluence.In that point we turn into a dusty road a "farming area" as you can figure out the road was slippery and the travel more than difficult.

Little by little we arrived until a wheat field , the harvest had finished so we went into the place the GPS signad 0.9 miles to North West. We couldn´t continous by car, the weather was still horrible and half of the adventure members refused to continous by foot, Facundo (13 years old), Francisco"kiko" (12 years old) and me Hugo (Facundo´s father) a team of three started a footing to the confluence. After about 0.6 miles throught a field we cross a little bridge and we were only 35ft from the confluence, the goal was inside of the fenced yard next to a house, we clap our hands trying to talk with the house owner but nobody were there only two friendly dogs.

We didn´t like to go inside the yard without permission, we already were coming back very disappointed, being so close when we noticed that there were another way to reach the point and after a few steps at last we arrived.

At the place had trees that made difficult to take the accurate signal with the GPS so we got the confluence point with some seconds of diference.

Perfects photos couldn´t be taken because of the horrible weather, we came back muddy and wet but very happy for could located the point and planning the next confluence looking for.
