English Narrative

English Narrative

25-Mar-2006 -- After conquering the 58°N 61°E DCP we sped to visit one more point on the way back to Yekaterinburg. The N58 E60 DCP lies on the north outskirts of Nizhniy Tagil (Lower Tagil) – the large industrial city in the Middle Urals. It was necessary to leave the city by the road leading to Rudnik Imeni III Internatsionala (The Mine after the III International) village to reach the point. The target point lies near Ol’khovka village in the forest. We strode about 200 meters of rather shallow snow in forest from the road.

This point was the least difficult for us.

Artyom Sismekov

Comment for Picture 7:

Uralvagonzavod in Nizhniy Tagil (Russian: The Urals Carriage-building plant), plant management office. The world biggest enterprise: it has the world largest area and the world largest workshops with a roof. Contrary to its name, it mainly produces military tanks, and only a small percentage of its production comprises civil goods wagons.
