#1: Confluence Point

03-Apr-2006 -- Spring was late this year, and in between some two chilly rain showers, we decided to visit this confluence, as it was only 10.8 km away from our holiday address in Langdorf. A previous attempt I made for another confluence ( 49N24E - Ukraine ) failed because of GPS-problems. This confluence however was so nearby, that I couldn't let it pass.

The spot is located only some 100 meters from the road between Zuckenried and Ruhmannsfelden. Besides the road, we found those typical crosses in remembrance of beloved people, as one can find almost in every place in Bayern. The region is a very rural countryside, with meadows and pine forests.

It was only a matter of walking one minute before we reached the spot, located nearly besides a forest path. Shortly after taking the picture, thunder and heavy rainfall forced us to run towards our car. The camera and GPS survived it...
