28-Apr-2006 -- Travelling from Toulouse to Lyon on a short holiday we were passing within a few kilometres of this point and then on to the Millau viaduct.

My wife is part of the 90% of the population that when told about the confluence project, thinks it is daft. They are right, of course. Never mind the rest of us can have our fun. This point is within 100 metres of the road, so even though Shan refused to get out of the car she qualifies and has now been sucked into the system and a DCP statistic.

The car has been a statistic for some time - it has effortlessly (hmm! see Mongolia!) taken me to 32 confluence points in 10 different countries. Today's will be its 33rd/ 11th and last with me - it is being sold to someone that can afford lots of petrol and who wants a left hand drive vehicle (I am now based back in the UK).

The point itself lies in a narrow valley and has been well described before. The field has been sown and rolled. No crop has emerged yet - it is probably maize. A scramble down a bank from the road gives access to the field. After the point we went over the viaduct and on to Lyon to deliver the car.
