29-Jun-2006 -- We visited this confluence during our 5 weeks trip to Peru and Bolivia, from June 10th to July 15th.
We stopped 1 day in Oruro City during our travel from La Paz to Uyuni. During this day, we decided to get the confluence, expecting it was possible. We were confident with it regarding to the unrelieved landscape all arourd the city and its nearness from it.
It took approximately 1 hour from the city centre to the convergence: We first took a "minibus" to Vinto town, in the neighbourhood of Oruro. We then took a "colectivo" which leaved us at less than 1 km from our destination. We just had to walk 10 minutes to reach the convergence, happy to notice that it was really easier than expected ! Well done !
