03-Aug-2006 -- While visiting al-`Ulā and discovering that the nearby confluence point 27N 38E had not been visited before, we decided to visit it. That was on Thursday 3 August 2006. This confluence point is located within al-Madīna region.
We started our journey from al-Ša`rā' town more than 1000 km away. The main objective of our journey was to visit the Napatian relics of Madā'in Ṣāliḥ. Madā'in Ṣāliḥ consists of tombs carved in the sandstone mountains about 50 km of this confluence point which is located 12 km to the East of the old Ḥijāz Railroad.
The terrain around the confluence point was semi-sandy and surrounded with sandstone mountains.
