08-Jun-1999 -- The Confluence is south of the town of Kaya, then three kilometers straight southwest through the bush. We ended up in a farm with no roads leading to it. Notice the boy holding our GPS. His name is Soumaila.

It was kind of difficult to explain in the Mooré language what we were doing driving around through the bush and across fields (fortunately nothing is coming up yet as it is the beginning of rainy season), so we just told them we were looking around.
