13-Dec-2005 -- We were on or the trip from Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca and planed to visit this confluence point. At first we followed the road to San Pedro Mixtepec, then took the small crushed stone road on the right side before reaching the village. After some hundred meters, the road splites into two directions. There we first took the way towards right, which was proved to be wrong.

Then we took the left upward way, it is also shown by the GPS as the better choice. After some time, we reached a river, which is 1.3 kilometres away from the confluence, shown by the GPS. A direct attempt wasn`t meaningful due to the thick-set area on the direct way to the confluence point. So we decided to go upwards along the river, hoping for a better possibility to pass the scrub.

After about one kilometre upstream, and changing the riverside many times, we were still 1000 m away from the point. But there was still thick vegetation. Besides that, the river also leads away from the confluence point. So we decided to leave that CP as an attempt, as we didn’t have the equipments to pass the scrub.
