14-Apr-2007 -- This was a perfect spring day for visiting the outdoors. My friend and I were on a plan to visit as many sites as possible in one day. The drive to this site was fairly uneventful however there were a couple of minimum maintenance roads that could have been difficult. I am thankful for my 4 wheel drive on occasions where the mud gets a little thick.
The roads in this area did not agree with the mapping on either of our GPS systems. That came into play a little more as we were leaving the site.
The only animals that we saw while trekking to the site were two geese and a crane. We would have asked permission but could not find anyone at home. This is evident in the pictures. As we approached the site there were two times that we changed from dead reckoning to finding the best approach. This part of the country is fairly hilly and can have some ravines.
We agreed to the last digit on the location (pictured) and agreed that we were on the spot.
In all a very lovely start to our day.
