28-Jul-2007 -- Mark and Dawn Palmer's original visit to this confluence point was in winter, so I was pleased to add a summertime visit.

From Lawler Road I took Demit Road - a narrow, unpaved road - south. This appears to be the same "snowmobile trail" that the Palmers took; it passes just 0.22 miles west of the confluence point. From here, I did the same hike as the Palmers: First, through trees, then through chest-high marshy grass, and then through more trees - where the confluence point lies. Fortunately the marshy areas were just slightly damp, so I didn't get wet. However, I made the mistake of not applying bug spray before my hike, and paid for it with many mosquito bites.

Afterwards I drove west towards my next confluence visit, 45 W 89N, and, on the way, passed through the small town of Suring, WI. This town's slogan is apparently "Fun on the 45th parallel!".
