15-Feb-2008 -- This was another Confluence which is easy striking distance from Dubayy, however does involve some border crossing difficulties only the UAE/Oman immigration knows how to complicate!

The family and I set out mid morning from Dubayy and crossed via the Buraymiyy Oman border post at al-`Ayn. After filling the necessary forms and fees, we were able to locate the Confluence very quickly afterwards. The location was very conveniently positioned about 50 m from a blacktop road on a stoney flat plain.

The sun was relatively high and the wind kicking up a little dust, so we quickly made the necessary photographs and added to the pile of stones left from the previous visit in 2001 and headed for a more sheltered location near to Ḥafīt to enjoy our picnic.

Ideally this Confluence could be done while travelling to Masqaṭ via Nizwa, with only a very short detour to find the site.
