30-Mar-2008 -- To visit confluence points 35N 58E and 35N 59E, and to visit the salt lake of Sa`d od Dīn, we departed Mašhad on 29 March 2008. The group consisted of my wife (Niloofar), my daughter (Negar), and I (Sirous). Our vehicle was a 4WD Nissan Roniz.
After visiting the confluence point 35N 58E and the salt lake of Sa`d od Dīn, we came back to Kāšmar and continued our way toward Kheyrābād village.
If you want to visit this point, you should get on the road between Torbat-e Ḥeydarīyeh and Gonābād. At point 028 in the map, exit the main road and enter an asphalted road east toward Kheyrābād. After Kheyrābād, you will enter a gravelled road toward North, which is inside a dry river. At point 025 in the map, you should exit the riverbed toward NE and follow the track toward North. When you reach to the point 027, stop the car and walk some 1000 meters to reach the confluence point.
When we (my daughter Negar and I) visited the CP, there was very small mound (1 m x 1 m) exactly at the point, made by ants! Altogether, this was a rather easy confluence point to visit.
