18-Apr-2008 -- This is the 20^th of a series of 83 confluence visits during our voyage from Nigeria to Europe and back to Nigeria around the entire African continent. It all started on 28 January at 11N 5E.

Story continues from 13N 7W.

We spent the night outside Bamako at the Kangaba rest camp. The next morning we were heading to downtown Bamako. Our sole reason to visit the capital was to get the visas for Guinea-Conakry. We were very lucky to meet the owner of the hotel, which we had stayed at in Ségou. He phoned a friend of his, which consequently escorted us to the embassy and it was not for long and we had the visas.

After lunch we left the city heading towards Kati and then to Kolokani. 200 meters next to this road is the confluence 13N 8W to be found. After we had made all the necessary documentation, we continued our way for a short stop at the guest house where Walter and Renate intended to spend their night. We had a round of Coke together and said good bye to our dear friends.
