07-Sep-2008 -- The first visitor to this point apparently had about one kilometer from the road to the cp. I have passed on the road between Oslo and Stavanger many times, and on one occasion tried to find the shortest distance.
This time I settled for a stop at a quarry on the southern side of the road 45, about 138 km from Setesdal coming from the east or 4,5 km coming from Sirdal in the west. From the quarry the GPS indicated a distance of 2,4 km to the cp. The reindeer hunting season had started and as my clothing was very similar to the terrain around me I put on the fluorescent waistcoat from the car.
The weather was nice, light clouds and about 12 centigade. The landscape was rather stony and steep at the final ascent of about 200 - 300 meters. Up there I heard two shots, but they were probably quite far away. It took about an hour and a half to the cp and one hour back. A good trip.
