15-Jan-2009 -- The wife and myself had been to a most marvelous opera in Stockholm ("Batseba" by the Swedish composer Sven-David Sandström) when we on our way back to Oslo saw that we had enough time to make a go for one of the confluence points along the 59th latitude. We took E4 down south to Järna, then road no. 57 to Katrineholm where the road number changed to 52. A few kilometers west of Katrineholm we headed south on a smaller road which then went parallel with road no. 52 towards Vingåker. About 12 kilometers on this minor road we stopped, about 100 meters from the cp.
The ground was frozen with no snow. An easy walk through the forest. Some logging had taken place and the cp was just at the edge of a clearing. The GeoCache mentioned by a former visitor was about ten meters into the forest from where my GPS fixed the point. This was the first GeoCache I have seen, so I just signed my name in the log book and hurried back to Oslo.
