15-Jul-2009 -- We travelled from Molde towards Oslo, stopped to see an old friend in Lesja and cut over from there to Vågå. On the mountain crossing we stopped on the road about 1.5 km from the confluence point. We were at an elevation of 1067 m and the direction towards the cp involved comfortable climbing, or trekking in shrubs, heather and wet marshland. 300 meters from the car we reached the top of the visible mountain only to be faced with another top ahead (this was where the wife decided to return to the car as her footwear was not really up to the terrain). A couple of reindeer crossed over the next top and when I reached it the deer had disappeared and I was facing another top. A handful of sheep ran away, a couple of grouses kept me company, but at a safe distance (nothing like in northern Russia were they were so tame they ran just a few meters in front of me).

The confluence point was just ten-fifteen meters east of a power line going north-south. The elevation was 1259 m. It took me an hour of comfortable trekking to get there and half an hour back to the car.
