31-Dez-2009 -- Schon länger waren der Wintersport-Urlaub in Österreich und damit auch der Besuch des Konfluenzpunktes 47N 10E geplant. Wintersport in Schruns, unter anderem auf dem ‚Hochjoch’, ist klasse!

Mit dem Auto gelangt man, von Schruns/Tschagguns aus kommend, nach Gortipohl und das Flüsschen Ill querend, bis zum Ende eines relativ steilen und unbefestigten Weges. Von dort aus läuft man über einen schmalen und sehr steilen Pfad nach oben. Nach ca. 150 Metern Wald erreicht man ein freies Areal. Hier befindet sich der Konfluenzpunkt ca. zwei Meter vor einem kleinen Holzhaus. In geringem Abstand befindet sich unterhalb das Haus der sehr netten Eigentümer. Diese erlaubten nach kurzer Schilderung des Besuchsgrundes das Betreten ihres Grundstückes. Sie wussten bereits von der Existenz des Koordinatenschnittpunktes. Die Aufnahmen gelangen gerade noch rechtzeitig vor dem Einbruch der Dunkelheit.

Nun konnte ich mit einem guten Gefühl Silvester feiern. Alles Gute für die gesamte Konfluenzpunkt-Besuchergemeinde im Jahr 2010!

31-Dec-2009 -- Several months ago we planned to spend the winter sports holidays in Austria, as well at the Hochjoch near Schruns, and with this the visit of the Confluence 47N 10E.

The easiest access by car is to take the route via Schruns/Tschagguns, through the village of Gortipohl and crossing the river Ill. The car can be parked at the end of the steep unpaved logger track, about 200 meters in a beeline towards the confluence point. From there you can walk a narrow and very steep path uphill. After about 150 meters walking through forest, a glade becomes visible. Here the Confluence is located, right in front of a small wooden house. In a short distance below is the >a href="photo.php?visitid=16666&pic=10">owners' house. The very kind couple already knew about the Confluence. After a short introduction they allowed access to their private property and pointed where the intersection should be. We got the pictures just in time before dusk.

Now I had a good feeling for celebrating the changing of the year. All the best for all of you Confluence visitors in 2010!
